 There are two relational strength types. One is weak and the other is strong. In the weak relationship the strength of the foreign key content does not necessarily have to exist and can be created later. In the strong relational strength type the foreign key of the related table is an entity of the primary table or basically in the one table to many item relationship the one side of the many table relationship. The one table should always be created first and then have the foreign key table created from the primary table.

A strong relational strength type relationship example would be the use a state table in a address database. So for example you could create a table that had a listing of all the states in the United States and in your primary table tree create a relationship with the state field of the address table.
