Culture in Business

Culture in Business

When operating globally, companies need to evaluate political and economic factors. One other important analysis needs to be conducted: cultural similarities and differences between the home country and the host country.

Using University's online library resources, review the literature related to cultural differences in terms of their impact on companies doing business internationally.

Then, do the following:

  • Identify one such company and then review its websites in 2-4 different markets to see how the firm presents its products and / or services. For example, you can look at the Web sites of McDonald's, IKEA, and Google in the US, France, India, Russia, and Brazil.
  • Based on the visual appearance of these Web sites, and the relevant literature (related to cultural differences in particular), explain how these sites are different from country to country.

Write your initial response in 300-500 words (Simple table showing the differences). Your response should be thorough and address all components of the discussion in detail, including citations of all sources, where needed, according to the APA Style, and demonstrating accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuationdifferences)  . Price, Profits, and Competition

Price, Profits, and Competition
You may be aware that there are three types of profit: accounting profit, economic profit, and normal profit. The difference between the total revenue and the sum of the explicit and implicit costs of an organization results in economic profit. It is commonly assumed that every firm's goal is to maximize its profit, and the economic theory of business is built upon this underlying assumption.
Write a 500 – to 600 – word paper that addresses the following:

• Describe the economic principles that company executives should consider when developing a strategy or strategies that will maximize profits while minimizing incentives for competitors to develop competing products.
• Explain why each of these economic principles is important to the company's strategy.
• Recommend and justify a strategy that you believe will maximize profits while minimizing incentives for increased competition.

In addition to fully answering the assignment's questions, each Assignment will be evaluated for clarity of writing, critical analysis of the issues, proper use of references to support the adopted positions, and adherence to APA standards.
