Essay Three: The Literary Analysis

The final assignment of the semester will be a literary analysis of one of the major texts we have read this semester. I will encourage you to think about this paper throughout the semester and see if there is a trope, theme, or issue that warrants closer examination in Lee, Baraka, Miller, etc. This assignment will also ask you to engage in the scholarly conversation surrounding these pieces. Therefore you will be asked to find and use three scholarly sources for the assignment (I will provide examples and direction throughout the semester). Examples may include; how Miller deals with ethnicity, how Baraka deals with race, and how Lee deals with the immigrant experience (both immigrants and their children). 

Paper length: 5 pages (roughly 1500 words)
