A) Explain material culture and symbolic culture.

Give at least one specific example that demonstrates how both materialism and symbolism play roles in how humans adapt to their environment.

B) Anthropology is a vast subject that includes seeing all aspects if humanity holistically, including the impact of historical, sociological, political and economic factors, select a topic that interests you and demonstrate your ability to examine this phenomenon holistically.

C) When a student agrees to share his or her time and efforts with me and my classes it is something that over the course of the semester that individual might cultivate an insight, passion or inquiry that they are proud of and will be able to share with others.
