Week 8

1) On pages 13 and 14 of the Kasfir text, he explains the relationship between the 'postcolonial' and the 'postmodern.' Re-read this part of the text, then describe this relationship in your own words.
2) What are some of the tensions between formally art-school-trained African artists and non-academically trained artists?
3) What and when was Magiciens de la Terre and why was it so important? Please do some of your own internet research in order to answer this question.
