Research Paper About Kids With Cancer

Write a research paper on a topic related to your service project. To do so, formulate an inquiry-based research question and answer it by combining your own analysis of the subject with information from reliable sources. Your research question may be on any specific, debatable topic related to your service.  You should form your own question related to your service learning project and based on a topic that interests you (remember that the topic is related to, not necessarily about, your service learning). Make sure your topic is debatable (reasonable people could disagree on the best way to answer your question) and manageable (you can adequately address it in a 5-8 page paper).

You must conduct research and cite at least four sources in your final paper. Two must be scholarly sources from the MDC library databases, and one must be an interview or survey conducted by you. Your fourth source may be from a reliable website. Include a correctly formatted MLA Works Cited page and in-text citations, and use MLA formatting throughout. This paper should be 5-8 pages long.

The Tempest (Play paper)

Plays are meant to be performed, rather than read. The purpose of  dramatic arts often extends far beyond the words written on a page;  staging, lighting, costumes intonation, expression, and audience  experience are all part of the experience of a theatrical production. To  help develop your understanding of The Tempest and the  cultural role of the dramatic arts, you will view a production of the  play this week and write a two-page reflection to explain your viewing  experience.

Evaluating Quantitative Design

A  researcher must be knowledgeable of the different quantitative research  designs and be able to effectively apply the best design as dictated by  the research question. For this assignment, you will create a 3- to  4-page document following the directions below.

Part I

Compare Methods

Compare and contrast two research methods. Give an  example of a situation (related to forensic counseling) in which each of  the two chosen methods can be applied.

Experimental

Quasi-experimental

Correlational

Survey

Developmental

Part II

Answer Questions

In reference to one of the two example research scenarios that you discussed above in Part I, further explore by answering the following questions (apply these questions to your own research project):

Determine a suitable research goal.

Discuss what type of sampling could be used for this study.

Identify which types of research designs above (from Part I) would be most appropriate to use.

State your hypothesis of the expected results for this proposed study.

Your final product will be in a Microsoft Word document  and be approximately 3–4 pages in length and utilize 2–3 scholarly  sources in your research. Your paper should be written in a clear,  concise, and organized manner; demonstrate ethical scholarship in  accurate representation and attribution of sources; and display accurate  spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

Assignment 2: Formulating a Research Question

Assignment 2: Formulating a Research Question

Research investigators often encounter the following  saying: “A problem that goes unnoticed or ignored is a problem without a  resolution.”

Discuss a problem from the field of forensic  psychology that you would like to have resolved through investigative  research methods.

Use the following questions as guidelines for formulating the actual  quantitative research question with respect to the problem that you  identify:

What is the specific problem?

What is the evidence of the problem?

What do you suspect is causing the problem?

Is the research question clearly expressed without being too general or too narrow?

Does the question relate to the identified problem?

Is the research, based on the research question, feasible?

Will the research, based on the research question, add to the body of knowledge in the forensic psychology field?

After you submit your research question, read the responses of your  classmates and critique the research question of at least two of them.  To ensure each of your classmates receives feedback, please first  respond to those who have not received any from your peers. Use these  same questions as critique criteria in your response to other  classmates:

Is the question clearly expressed without being too general or too narrow?

Does the question relate to the identified problem?

Are there any barriers to the research?

Will the research, based on the research question, add to the content body of knowledge?

Were these questions fully addressed?

What is the specific problem you are encountering?

What evidence do you have that there is a problem?

What do you suspect is causing the problem?

Post your response in a minimum of 300 words.

All written assignments and responses should follow APA rules for attributing sources.

Mendel’s Principles and Contribution to Modern Biology

Mendel’s Principles and Contribution to Modern Biology

Mendel used mathematics and experimentation to derive major principles that have helped us understand inheritance. His ideas were totally different than the explanation for passage of characteristics from parents to offspring that was common to his time. Discuss at least two of his principles in detail, providing examples. Describe how each principle contributes to genetic variability. Discuss the significance of Mendel’s discoveries to modern biology.

US Domestic Financial Services Research Paper

JP Morgan encountered problems in managing credit default swaps during 2012. Some observers believe that these problems revealed internal control problems that financial managers should keep in mind. Do you believe that there were internal control problems or were the losses merely a result of poor securities trading?

· Why did the US government bail-out Bear Stearns by selling it to JPM but it did not help Lehman Bros?

· Has the securities industry succeeded in transferring credit and interest rate derivatives from principal transactions to exchange-based transactions as intended in the Dodd-Frank act?

· Are financial derivatives adequately disclosed in the bank’s financial statements.

· What were the problems that led to Wells Fargo bank’s failure to detect and stop the creation of fraudulent bank accounts and credit cards?
