QuestionDear Econ 321 TeamWe discussed a bit about the term project in class today. To help you start I would like to provide you with some guidlines.1. The objective of the project is to encourage you to apply what we have learnt in ECON 321 to real life. You can choose wahtever topic you are most interested in. The key is knowing how to choose the statistical techniques/tools we have to give answers and interpretations of the issues at hand. These issues may range from economic political and/or sociological ones. For instance you may be interested in the trend of tourists coming to Hawaii over the period 1990-2005. Using statitical techniques we learnt such as the mean median boxplot z score and so on you can write a report on how the trend takes place why is it so what implications you can make to profit the tourism industry and Hawaii population. To collect the data you can go to the website and use google with key words e.g. Hawaii Tourists trend. You will likely to receive a number of different data. You can choose one that you like most. Since this is a group project it might be a good idea to assign the tasks among group memebres. Some may be responsible for collecting the data other may be responsible for data analysis and other may write up the report. It is now about time to contact your classmates and set up a group. By the end of the class you can send me a written report for the whole group.I believe that you will find the group project is a rewarding experience in many aspects. Please feel free to email me should you have any question.
