Even the best staffing policies and systems can be impacted by employees who leave their jobs for performance or retention reasons; having an effective performance and development plan can help cut down on turnover and focus training on individual competencies and job tasks. For this week’s discussion:
- Examine employee performance programs and assess the components of those programs that can be beneficial to employee engagement and performance.
- Illustrate two strategies that would improve the performance program. Then, propose a new type of employee performance program that would be specifically tailored to employee engagement (in other words, what would you add to a typical employee performance evaluation to specifically assess/encourage an employee’s engagement and performance?).
