This week, you will be learning about HIV screening and management. We will begin by reviewing the pathophysiology and progression of the disease. As a clinician, you will be responsible for screening patients and helping co-manage their diseases. You will identify HIV risk factors and prevention measures to help improve health and reduce the risk of transmission to others. Next, we will discuss the healthcare needs and experiences of lesbian, bisexual, queer, and transgender patients. As a clinician, you will learn how to create an environment that is welcoming and non-threatening to people of all gender identities and sexual orientation. Later in the week, the focus of your learning will be on providing quality sexual health care to patients, along with managing female sexual dysfunction.

Your Learning Objectives for the Week:

Assess the physiologic, psychological, socio-economic, developmental, political, and culturally diverse factors of common women’s health issues across the life span.
Utilize critical thinking, research findings, diagnostic reasoning, and independent judgment to assist the patient and the family in the process of rehabilitation to their maximum functional health status.
Compare the relationship between family structure, community functioning and health related outcomes for clients with reproductive health issues.

Review the information in Chapter 5 of the course text, focusing on the steps for conducting a literature review and for compiling your findings.
Using the question you selected in your Week 2 Project (Part 1 of the Course Project), locate 5 or more full-text research articles that are relevant to your PICOT question. Include at least 1 systematic review and 1 integrative review if possible. Use the search tools and techniques mentioned in your readings this week to enhance the comprehensiveness and objectivity of your review. You may gather these articles from any appropriate source, but make sure at least 3 of these articles are available as full-text versions through Walden Library’s databases.
Read through the articles carefully. Eliminate studies that are not appropriate and add others to your list as needed. Although you may include more, you are expected to include a minimum of five articles. Complete a literature review summary table using the Literature Review Summary Table Template located in this week’s Learning Resources.
Prepare to summarize and synthesize the literature using the information on writing a literature review found in Chapter 5 of the course text.
To complete:

Write a 3- to 4-page literature review that includes the following:

A synthesis of what the studies reveal about the current state of knowledge on the question that you developed
Point out inconsistencies and contradictions in the literature and offer possible explanations for inconsistencies.
Preliminary conclusions on whether the evidence provides strong support for a change in practice or whether further research is needed to adequately address your inquiry
Your literature review summary table with all references formatted in correct APA style
Note: Certain aspects of conducting a standard review of literature have not yet been covered in this course. Therefore, while you are invited to critically examine any aspect of the studies (e.g., a study’s design, appropriateness of the theoretic framework, data sampling methods), your conclusion should be considered preliminary. Bear in mind that five studies are typically not enough to reflect the full range of knowledge on a particular question and you are not expected to be familiar enough with research methodology to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of all aspects of the studies.
Also please be sure to put a purpose statement, that is something else she took points off for, my total grade was a 93.

What is the history of each?
How far back was it first discovered?
What conclusions were drawn about the particular dementia then, as compared to what we know today?
What are the demographics of each?
What is/are the identifying hallmarks of each? For example, the hallmark of Alzheimer’s disease is plaques and tangles.
What causes the dementia? (not the disease or condition but the dementia)
Where in the brain does the deterioration begin?
What is the average duration for each? Please be sure to use APA formatting when necessary, i.e. When citing, referencing others’ work. This assignment can be submitted in chart form if you prefer. Don’t forget to include a reference page (which is not included in the count of 1-2 pgs).

Adding specific securities to your portfolio:

You have already set up your NASDAQ portfolio in week 1; now it is time to focus in on adding securities to your portfolio.

1.    Review the information available to you in your NASDAQ Portfolio.

2.    Add $25,000 under "Cash Value"- clicking on the little edit pen icon in that box. It is highlighted in yellow in the screenshot at the end of this assignment.

3.    Purchase shares of Walmart. We will use Walmart in several locations throughout the class to evaluate a specific firm.

·         You will see the share price for Walmart after you have added it.  To calculate the number of shares you need to buy to get "$2500 worth", you would need to calculate the number of shares manually, adding it in the Number of Shares box (Noted in Yellow in the screenshot below.)

4. Review the text information on mutual funds in Chapter 4.

5. After purchasing the funds, export a copy of your portfolio (using the "Download to Excel" in green at the bottom) and submit via the attachment link in Canvas.
