1. One of the newest and most useful features built into the Windows Platform is the ability to remote in to a computer. Previously virtual remote access was only granted when using third-party software.
Option 1: In a few sentences discuss a situation in which if youd had this software previously installed on your system where this feature would have come in handy. Imagine youre on the job and a client who resides in the South Pole is having a technical issue how might you use this feature to assist them?
Option 2: Discuss the importance of being careful with the remote in ability. Based on your learning this week what kind of activities should be implemented if an unauthorized person gains access to a computer without your permission?
2. You have been learning a lot of useful information this week. Lets discuss disk thrashing troubleshooting disk book issues and how to deal with lag and/or constantly crashing apps. This is some of the meat that IT workers love to feast upon!
While on the job youll be speaking with individuals who are desperate to get back up and running. You might even think of these extremely upset people as freaking out. Of course we understand that theyre just having some kind of hardware or software malfunction. However their data is usually on the hard drive somewhere you just have to locate and protect it. If youve worked in another field and have experienced this catastrophic situation then you can certainly relate.
How would you handle a situation like this where people are extremely upset?
What would you do to display your concern and that youre going to do your best to solve the problem?
How would you react if you were upset and the IT technician utters these words: Sorry Im unable to help you?

3. Hard Drive Partitions Please respond to the following:
Suppose you have a 1 terabyte (TB) hard drive on which you are going to install Linux. Determine the partitions that you would create. Suggest how you would allocate the disk space to those partitions. Provide a rationale for your response.
Give one (1) example of a situation where one might create partitions on a Windows machine. Explain why an individual would do so.
