In your CLC forum, review the different reevaluation requirements under IDEA. Discuss the different types of reevaluations and associated process steps.

Design a 10-15 slide digital presentation appropriate for a school-wide professional development opportunity on the topic of reevaluations. Be sure to include a title slide, reference slide, and presenter’s notes.

Within your presentation address the following:

Triennial evaluations: Required consent, participants, and scope of the evaluation.

Reevaluations: Who may request, reasons for the request, participants, scope, and purposes of the reevaluation.

Clarification on frequently asked questions, such as:  Are parents required to state a reason before requesting a reevaluation of their child? If a parent requests a reevaluation and the school thinks that a reevaluation is not needed, may the school refuse to conduct the reevaluation of the child? Can the parent disagree and refuse the school’s request to reevaluate the child? 

Terminating a student’s eligibility, including the processes and steps regarding determining that a student is no longer a student with a disability.

Clarification on the two exceptions to IDEA regarding required evaluations before a school may determine that the child is no longer “a child with a disability.”

“Information Systems in a Long-Term Care Facility”  Please respond to the following:

Imagine that you are the administrator of a midsize long-term care facility with an outdated information system. You are tasked with planning and managing the integration of a new database into the existing system.

Suggest two (2) potential problems that could occur with the integration. Recommend one (1) measure that you as the administrator could take in order to make sure that the integration does not compromise your facility’s current information system.

Assess the main possible Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) violations that your facility risks by having a third party monitor the integrated database, and recommend at least one (1) method of preventing or addressing each identified violation. Provide a rationale for your response.

Assignment 1: Procedural Law and the Bill of Rights

The Bill of Rights finds its roots in documents such as the British Magna Carta of 1215 AD. It was one of the first documents that provided the common man independence from a monarch. It did imply that the federal government’s law dominated all others; however, it gave each state control of any laws outside of those reserved to the federal government. The Bill of Rights acts as a blueprint that every individual state uses to protect the rights of individual citizens. In this assignment, you will utilize the various concepts found in the Bill of Rights to provide the foundation of the various sections of the question.

Write a four to six (4-6) page paper in which you:

1. Compare and contrast two (2) of the sources of rights and fundamental principles found in the United States’ legal system as outlined by the text.
2. Critically analyze and discuss two (2) steps of the criminal justice process from arrest to imprisonment.
3. Identify and discuss the particular amendment related to arrest, search and seizures.
4. Compare and contrast the concepts of probable cause and reasonable suspicion. In your own words, explain how they are similar or different.
5. Examine and discuss the two (2) examples in which the exclusionary rule may not apply.
6. Identify and discuss one (1) contemporary issue or case law related to the use of force.

Terrorism Prevention In Your Community Case Study

For the Unit VIII Case Study, you will focus on terrorism and terrorism prevention in your community. Start by conducting research around your community/location for examples of mitigation and prevention against terrorism. When looking for terrorism in your community, consider examples such as an active shooter threat or actual occurrence or a bomb threat or occurrence. For example, if you are in the Boston area, consider the Boston Marathon bombing, prevention methods used in museums, metal detectors, etc. If you are not in an area where terrorism is a concern, research an area that is, and use online images. Take photographs of what you find so that you can show your professor what your area has done to address the issue of terrorism. If you are unable to find prevention methods in your community, you may use a nearby community or research one. Using what you learned about your community and what you learned about past disasters from this course, write a case study, a minimum of four pages in length, that addresses the following points. Include Photos in your paper and cite them in APA STYLE

Explain what has been done with regard to mitigation, recovery, and/or response efforts within your community or the community you researched. Mitigation examples include security, cameras, and metal detectors. 

Explain who conducted these efforts and the vulnerabilities they faced in their community, and include the role these individuals or groups play with mitigating, responding, and/or recovering from the risk. 

Research at least one major disaster that resulted due to terrorism. Explain the mitigation and recovery efforts. 

What can your community, or the community you researched, learn from past disasters? 

Consider the types of communication that would need to be used in the event of a terror attack. Discuss the organiztions that would be involved, the forms of media that would be used, and the types of communication that would need to be provided to the public.

 Your paper should be a minimum of four pages in length not counting the title and reference pages. 

You are required to use a minimum of three outside sources as part of your case study. One outside source must be from the CSU Online Library.

 All sources must be scholarly sources, including the textbook, must be cited and referenced according to APA guidelines. Criminology Theories

Based on the theories you have learnt( Social learning and differential association theories in criminal justice, write a two-page (double spaced) paper on the case provided to you.
