Jesus CEO: Using Ancient Wisdom for Visionary Leadership by Laurie Beth Jones

Select a management book to read for the semester. Once you have read the book, you will write a 5 page, double-spaced summary of the book including details of what you learned from the book and how it related to the course content. In addition, you will assemble a 4-6 slide PowerPoint presentation that summarizes your paper. This presentation will be 15% of your grade for this project.

The Effects of Immigration on the United States’ Economy?

This is a semester long research project which accounts for 15% weight of the course grade.

Instructions:

For the final project I have tried to explain about it in the syllabus what it should be like. Be advised that

you’re not writing an essay on a certain topic; it’s going to be a research paper. So it has to have the

following things: i) write a brief introduction to your topic and state what you are doing? Why is your

work important? State it clearly. In other words, sell your work by telling this is why my work/research is

important or I am the first person doing this kind of work or to the best of my knowledge no past research

has examined this topic/area from my point of view etc. If you read any published articles you will know

how to shape yours?

ii) What have already been done in your topic/area? That is, read at least seven articles related to your

topic and cite them.

iii) Find out the data on your topic. For example if you’re writing a paper on “the impact of US exports

on economic growth” then obtain data on US exports and GDP growth, plot them in figures and analyze

them. Your analysis should focus on among others, what can you infer out of that data set? Let’s say, you

see US export is a record high or low in year 2000 then what could be the possible reason for it. Finally,

you draw the conclusion based on your research.

– Number of citations in the body must match the number of references listed.

Note: you are not required to develop econometric models you may skip that part.

Suggestions:

Look at the articles in the following journals published by undergraduate students. These are the journals

for undergraduate students.

-Foreign Affairs

-The Economist

-The World Bank, WTO

-Academic journals such as The World Economy, Undergraduate Economic Review, Undergraduate

Journal of Economics, Journal for Global Business and Community, IMF Staff Papers, Yale Journal of

Economics, Michigan Journal of Business

Additionally, go to the library home page and click article databases where you will see several search

engines. You can search articles through EBSCO host OR LexisNexis OR Jstor OR other search engines

available there or elsewhere. Down load at least 7 articles (related) and review them and use in your

research, and don’t forget to cite them (references at the end of the paper).

Don’t cite anything from Wikipedia, and unwarranted sources from Google. I suggest you to use EBSCO

host to find articles in your topic. Read a couple of articles from the above listed journals. The only way

you know how to write a research paper is to read published work first. Call library people at MU to find

out articles and other help. World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF) makes a lot of research

papers available for free. Don’t pay a single dime for articles. Our library will get you one for free.

Since this is a college level work it is demanding. You have to follow these instructions, be specific,

concise and to the points. Finally, do your best.

Use your ratio analysis to determine whether the profitability trends are favorable or unfavorable and explain your rationale

Develop a financial plan for the next three years. Use the financial statements from your selected health care organizations that were the focus of the SWOT Analysis assignment and that you have been following in the e-activities throughout the quarter. Using the Annual Reports of both organizations, consider the financial ratio that analysts would use to evaluate the financial condition of each company. Speculate on the organizations’ ability to merge with their competitors.

Use your ratio analysis to determine whether the profitability trends are favorable or

unfavorable and explain your rationale.

2. Suggest the key financial drivers that most likely will cause your health care

organizations to merge. Provide support for your rationale.

3. Assume that your organizations have merged. Determine the evaluation criteria that a

financial analyst would use to evaluate the financial performance of the organization postmerger.

Identify the determinants that the analyst would use to decide whether the merger

generated favorable financial results for the organizations. Provide support for your

evaluation.

4. Predict the financial stability of the health care industry over the next three years.

Provide support for your prediction.

5. Use at least three quality, current (no more than four years old) academic resources.

State Pensions in The State of Florida Especially South Florida, Miami- Dade County

The essay must be at least 2000 words. You must cite from the readings and lecture. The only sources you may use are the Schaller textbook and the lecture notes. The easiest way to cite sources is to use MLA parenthetical citations that includes the author’s last name and page number (Mayer:199). Your essay must have MLA citations from Schaller in every paragraph except the intro and conclusion In each essay your first paragraph must contain a series of causal arguments that you intend to historically prove in the text of your essay. You need to tell the reader what caused what to happen, when and why. Never pose rhetorical questions in your essay. Rhetorical questions are cheap literary devices that make your writing style non-assertive and give the reader the impression that you are not in control of your essay or the material. Immediately give the reader your overall causal argument, and then, in succeeding sentences of your first paragraph list supporting arguments in chronological order. The supporting arguments should be chronological in order and build on each other.

The topic sentences of your paragraphs must do more than simply describe what the paragraph is about, they must also state why the paragraph is important to the overall argument of your essay. In other words, the topic sentence summarizes the paragraph, but also links it back to one of the supporting arguments that you listed in your introductory paragraph. You must have dates or at least periodize in almost every paragraph. Paragraphs should be one-third to one-half page in length. Finally, your essay must have a conclusion that restates your original argument in light of the data and facts that were discussed in the text of your essay.

Marketing channels and business models

The analysis of a channel configuration within a specific environment. Select one firm and specify their institutional/business environment.

Keep in mind that it has to be a parents company. Not a brand.

For example: If selecting Zara to be the chosen firm, that is INCORRECT. Because Zara is owned by Inditex. So, one need to be careful when choosing a brand. I have some suggestion on chosen firm for the writer to choose: Apple Inc. / Ikea/ Starbucks Corporation / Sumsung group /Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. / could be use in this essay? (I find that these firms are kind of owned itself brand so it might be less complexity than some Company that has a lot of sub-brands within its company.)
