WHO CAN PROVIDE REAL A+ PLUS ESSAY???

response questions applying concepts you learned in this unit’s reading (gender and race/ethnicity).

Please choose one of the following topics related to discrimination for your assignment: Gender discrimination that occurs at work, home, in the media, and/or in the community. LGBT discrimination that occurs at work, home, in the media, and/or in the community. Race/ethnicity discrimination such as racial profiling, hate crimes, white privilege, or institutional discrimination. You can also discuss discrimination against a subcultural group in society.

For this assignment, complete Part A, Part B, and Part C as follows:

Part A: Introduce the topic. What form of discrimination are you discussing? Where does it occur? Who is affected? How serious of an issue is this in the society in which you live? Include general information about the issue and also provide specific examples. Examples can be from your own experience and/or from research material.

Part B: As part of introducing your issue, it is required that you apply one or more of the perspectives (functionalism, interactionism, or conflict theory) to help explain why this type of discrimination occurs. (See page 294 and 325 in your textbook for information on applying the perspectives to these topics.)

Part C: Discuss solutions. What are some things that are currently being done to address this form of discrimination? If you were a community organizer tasked with creating a program to address this form of discrimination, what type of program would you create? What role can an individual take to help fight against this type of discrimination and promote equal treatment in his or her community? For this assignment, ensure you follow the requirements below: 1. Answer ALL the questions listed in Part A, Part B, and Part C in your assignment. 2. Please answer the response questions in essay-style format. You will not be rewriting each question and answering it. You will be creating an essay that addresses the response questions. Literature Review-four pages-compare and contrast a carcinogen that is a mutagen to a carcinogen that is not a mutagen

Literature Review-four pages-compare and contrast a carcinogen that is a mutagen to a carcinogen that is not a mutagen

Four pages not including cover page or references

This unit’s assigned reading focuses on chemical-induced mutagens. As you are aware from the reading, not all carcinogens are mutagens. For this assignment, compare and contrast a carcinogen that is a mutagen to a carcinogen that is not a mutagen. Find at least four peer-reviewed journal articles published within the last 7 years that discuss the carcinogens and the cancer that each causes.

Compare the means of exposure of each chemical and the type of cancer each causes. Be sure to integrate the perspective and information gathered from each article into a discussion in your own words.

Your literature review must include the following components:

  • an introduction of your topic of choice (include some background information on the origins of exposure and cancer),
  • the methods used to search for the articles,
  • the results of the articles,
  • a discussion and conclusion with your own opinion, and
  • APA references and in-text citations for the article.

The literature review must be t four pages in length and follow APA formatting.

Advanced Solid Waste Management

Advanced Solid Waste Management

This assignment will allow you to demonstrate the following objectives: Assess the political environment as it relates to solid waste and solid waste management.

Summarize laws and standards related to solid waste management.

Instructions: The siting of a landfill is always contentious in a community due to operational issues with traffic and odors, and if you live close to the landfill you may deal with a decline in property values. Landfills will eventually generate leachate that can adversely impact the environment if the liner is breached, bringing toxicity to vegetation and contamination to ground water. Having a properly operating landfill can minimize many of these impacts to citizens and to the environment. This assignment will further explore these topics.

Answer the questions directly on this document. When you are finished, select “Save As,” and save the document using this format: Student ID_Unit# (ex. 1234567_UnitI). Upload this document to BlackBoard as a .doc, docx, or .rtf file. The specified word count is given for each question. At a minimum, you must use your textbook as a resource for these questions. Other sources may be used as needed. All material from outside sources (including your textbook) must be cited and referenced in APA format. Please include a reference list after each question.

1) A community generates 225 metric tonnes of municipal solid waste per year.

a. What is the actual average annual production of methane that a community should expect from the landfill operation in BTU per year? (For Part A, show all of your work.)

b. What are the factors, laws, or standards that can limit the amount of methane production in the landfill? (Your total response for Part B should be at least 200 words.)

2) Use the treatment options in Table 8-11 (pg. 357) that lists biological and physical/chemical operations for treating leachate generated from a landfill to answer the following questions. (Your total response for all parts of this question should be at least 300 words.)

a. Recommend a treatment train that uses one biological and one physical chemical operation. Provide your reason for making this recommendation.

b. In what order would you put these units? Describe your reasoning for your prescribed order.

c. If your proposed treatment scheme does not meet the prescribed permit discharge limits for the facility, what post-treatment technology would you recommend to ensure that discharge limits are met. Provide your reasons for your technology selection.

d. For each part of the question, be sure to explain what law and standards factor into your recommendation or reasoning.

3) Leachate and Groundwater Monitoring

a. Why are landfills designed to have a leachate head of 12 inches on the liner? If the leachate head had the potential to build to 24 inches, what is a simple design technique that could relieve the hydraulic pressure on the liner?

b. What are the monitoring requirements for an operational landfill? Create a table to describe what each parameter measures and why knowing this is important.

c. What are the post-closure monitoring requirements? Create a table to describe what each parameter measures and why knowing this is important? (Your total response for all parts of this question should be at least 200 words.)

4) Assume that a landfill is proposed for a location that is located east of a forest, west of a national park, and north of a major river.

a. What are some political factors that go into deciding if this is an acceptable location for a new regional landfill?

b. What engineering modifications could you recommend that would make this site acceptable to the city council?

c. If the landfill location is rejected, what recommendations would you propose that for managing the municipal solid waste for the community? (Your total response for all parts of this question should be at least 200 words.)

Product Labeling

Product Labeling

Create a presentation with a minimum of 10 slides about the uses and limitations of the U.S. Food & Drug Administration’s (FDA) requirements on product labeling for public safety. Include a discussion of a recently published article (within the last 12 months) that addresses product labeling. Only use information from reliable sources; DO NOT use information from unmonitored websites, such as Wikipedia, is not acceptable. Be creative, and add photos, images, or other supplemental graphics to support your presentation. Ensure that you use images from the public domain or creative commons. Be sure to cite any sources used in a references slide by using proper APA style. You may also use the slide notes function to explain slide contents as necessary.

The following are ideas for topics that you may want to address:

1.the purpose of product labeling

2. product labeling requirements

3. limitations of product labels

4. pesticide product labeling

5. federal food and drug requirements for labeling.

OHSA Evaluation

OHSA Evaluation

You were recently hired as an Occupational Safety and Health consultant for Gemstone Fabricators, which is a medium sized manufacturing facility that makes stainless steel counters, containers, and carts for the food prep and restaurant industries. Several years ago, Gemstone decided it wanted to become an OSHA VPP site. It also wants to send the application to OSHA in the upcoming year. Further, there is a keen interest to align with the ANSI/AIHA Z10 standard.

In going through the application submission materials, you noticed something that threw up a red flag, however. Although there was an accountability requirement specified in front-line workers’ performance evaluation documentation for safety performance, there was no such requirement in the performance evaluation documentation for supervisors, managers, or executives. Your discussions with employees also suggest that, although the employer wants the front-line workers to be heavily involved in the safety effort, they are not always sure exactly what they are supposed to be doing to help move the company’s safety programs forward.

Another issue that concerns you is that the effort to implement a safety and health management systems approach appears to be somewhat piecemeal. You are finding it difficult to identify a clear Plan-Do-Check-Act approach to continuous improvement.

Please compose a two-page document for your client to include your evaluation of these deficiencies along with an explanation of the significance of these problems in relation to the safety and health management systems approach. Your goal is to help the employer understand why these issues need to be attended to prior to submitting your application. In your

response, be sure to do the following things:

· Include an introduction that establishes the issues and provides necessary background information.

· Assess the importance of establishing safety accountability measures for managers, employees, and safety professionals.

· Appraise the assignment of safety-related job tasks.

· Apply the Plan-Do-Check-Act framework to resolve a safety deficiency.

Your paper must be a minimum of two pages, and it should be in APA format. You must use a minimum of one scholarly resource. Any information from this source should be cited and referenced in accordance with APA guidelines.

P2 Audit

P2 Audit

Select one of the products described in the eco-audit case study in Chapter 8 of your textbook (e.g., cups, grocery bags, electric kettle). Using the data in the textbook from the eco-audit, additional data from Chapter 15 (as necessary), and any additional resources that you find helpful, prepare a pollution prevention audit for the product that you have selected. Base your P2 audit on the steps shown in the Unit III Lesson.

You do not need to use all of the P2 audit steps shown in the Unit III Lesson, but use at least three major steps from each phase (a major step being Step 5 rather than Step 5.1). Since you will not be using all of the steps shown in the Unit Lesson, you may re-number them if you wish so that your audit proceeds sequentially without skipping numbers. Your audit should include an introductory paragraph explaining both the purpose of a P2 audit and the reasons for including the steps that you have selected. Your case study must be at least two full pages in length. All sources used, including the textbook, must be referenced; paraphrased and quoted material must have accompanying citations. All references and citations used must be in APA style. The introduction should be formatted in paragraph form, and the steps can be formatted as a list.
