Research Local Provider Data

Research health care providers (physician's office, clinic, or  hospital) in the Minnesota area to find one that publishes their quality-data for  the public to view (it can be online or in print). \

Write a 2 page paper in APA format that describes:

 

  1. The quality data the organization/provider presents (such as mortality rates, readmissions).
  2. The source of their data (e.g. survey tools, quality measures, or projects).
  3. The time period of the report.
  4. How the organization works to improve the quality of care.

Note:

In considering the ethical issues, think about the marketing strategies and tactics used in this market and the wider social, environmental, supplier, and manufacturer and consumer concerns as a starting point. A number of these issues will be introduced during class and you will learn more about them in your reading.

You will be expected to demonstrate some broad reading about your chosen market and the ethical issue identified, using objective sources. For example, use quality newspapers, business and market sector press, industry reports, and consumer market reports such as business research and academic sources, rather than relying on (often biased) company or pressure group websites. Harvard referencing should be used. (see your business school referencing guide for details).

We expect reports to be presented, written, structured and referenced to a good standard.

Individual reports should be submitted via Turnitin by the end of Thursday, January 18, 2018 so start thinking soon about your market and possible marketing ethics issue and begin work on the background reading on your topic as soon as possible. A large chain of beauty salons hire you as a consultant. The organization’s management team faces a unique problem. About 1 percent of the employees have speech, hearing, visual, physical, or mental disabilities.

 

The management believes that it may not be addressing the special needs of the diverse employees because the organization lacks a diversity policy for employees with special needs. The management is also concerned that they may lose these employees to their competitors, who may have diversity policies for their workforces.

 

For the management prepare a one page diversity policy for employees with special needs. Include the following sections in your policy:
