Select TWO of the prompts below not all of the prompts. Answer TWO prompts of your choice; 250 words in total. 250 between both, not 250 each.
1. Vladimir, Vassily, and Valentina are three siblings who immigrated with their parents to Canada from Russia. At the time of immigration, Vladimir was four, Vassily was eighteen, and Valentina was twenty. Based on research by Cheung, Chudek, and Heine regarding sensitive periods, draw a graph predicting how each sibling’s identification with Canadian culture will change as he or she spends more years in Canada?
2. Kosuke is a 3-year-old Japanese boy who scores a 3 out of 7 on a measure of interdependence. Jeremy is a 3-year-old American boy who also scores a 3 out of 7 on a measure of interdependence. In general, the Japanese are more interdependent than Americans. Draw a graph to predict how each child’s score on the measure of interdependence will change (or not change) as he or she gets older (until age eighteen).
3. The Randhawa family is an Indian family who just bought a new house with three bedrooms. There are two parents (a mother and a father), a 3-year-old daughter, a 17-year-old (post-pubescent) daughter, and a 20-year-old (post-pubescent) son. Based only on the values of female chastity anxiety and respect for hierarchy, design a floor plan for their arrangement of bedrooms that satisfies both values. Be sure to note who sleeps in each bedroom.
4. Compare and contrast authoritarian parenting and authoritative parenting, making sure to include associated parental attributes.
5. You overhear a mother talking about her adolescent son being rebellious, but she does not seem bothered by his rebelliousness. Instead, she says that it is a universal phenomenon that adolescents are rebellious. Do you agree or disagree? Please justify your response with empirical evidence.

Week 4:
Assessment of Adolescents
Adolescence is often one of the most difficult stages individuals experience in their lives. Think back to your own teenage years and consider some of the questionable choices you made at that time, or reflect upon some of your responses to situations that may now seem emotionally and hormonally driven. Given the nature of the developmental changes that occur during adolescence, it can be quite challenging for a clinician to assess what a client is actually experiencing. During the adolescent stage, teens will often exhibit behaviors that seem unhealthy, dangerous, and sometimes even pathological. A closer look at the current developmental stage of the client and the familial history may lead to a very different conclusion. Therefore, social workers need to be very thorough when assessing adolescents and take into consideration multiple factors prior to planning and intervening.

Required Readings
Gutiérrez, L., Oh, H. J., & Gillmore, M. R. (2000). Toward an understanding of (em)power(ment) for HIV/AIDS prevention with adolescent women. Sex Roles, 42(7–8), 581–611.
Discussion 1: Attachment Theory
The adolescent stage can be described as a time where there is a loss of innocence and a preentry into adulthood. A large part of being an adolescent is beginning that process of stepping out into the world and learning about oneself as a unique and autonomous individual. This movement out into the world is contingent upon the knowledge that this young person will have a safe and secure home to return to at the end of the day. If a traumatic loss or event has occurred in the adolescent’s life, there may be no safe base to which this individual can return. Attachment theory teaches us that a young person’s ability to attach/engage with peers, family, and other potential support systems is an important aspect of the developmental process. During the adolescent stage of development, assessing attachment styles is important because it provides a window into how the adolescent relates to others, which allows the clinician to choose the appropriate intervention.
1. Post a 1 hole page or more answer and support all of your written ideas with 2 APA citations and references per paragraph. Use the Learning resource in the work instructions as REFERENCES. Answer in an application of the attachment theory to the case of either Tiffani or Brady. Discuss the connection between his or her attachment style and the exhibiting behavior. For this Discussion, choose either the program case study for the Bradley family or the course-specific case study for Brady. This answer is for a Masters course not a Bachelors course.
Discussion 2: Developmental Stages
Understanding an adolescent’s behavior can be at times elusive and even frustrating. Due to the multiple aspects of the developmental tasks during these years, it can be at times quite challenging to clearly define the issue(s) at hand. Assessment during this stage will include an evaluation of whether an adolescent’s actions are indicative of unhealthy behavior or merely representative of being an adolescent. A comprehensive assessment that includes an evaluation of the client’s developmental stage is a priority when working with this age group.
2. For this Discussion, choose the opposite case from Discussion 1 and use Erikson’s developmental theory. Post a 1 hole page or more answer and support all your written I ideas with 2 APA citations per paragraph and references. Use the Learning Resources given in the work as REFERENCES. Write your answer with an assessment of whether the client is mastering the stage of identity. Identify the areas that should be addressed in an intervention based on his or her developmental stage. Describe how you might address those areas. This is for a Masters course not for a Bachelors course
Support your posts with specific references to this week’s resources. Be sure to provide full APA citations for your references.
Discussion 2
Discuss how incentive pay plans – both individual and group – motivate employees to achieve high levels of performance. Identify potential weaknesses of these plans and suggest steps that can be taken to make these plans highly effective. Then, choose one industry that either an individual or group incentive pay plan would work best providing support for your reasoning (using personal examples to illustrate your point if possible).
Discussion 1
Define the concept of seniority and merit pay plans, including the strengths and limitations of such plans within an organization. Discuss the job, organizational and/or other factors that should be considered when deciding between the two. Respond to at least two of your fellow students’ postings.
Explain the technology and approach you would use to handle the needs for studying historical trends in the information you have collected, combining it with other databases if needed. What information from the database would you collect over time?
Defines the star model for the data warehouse for this information. What information will you store in the Fact table? What attributes will it have? What dimension tables will you create? How will you organize the dimension tables? How are they related to the Fact table? What physical structures (eg, specialized indexes) will you use to make the data warehouse efficient?
Explain, at a level suitable for business management, what they will be able to find out using this, both by breaking down information according to one or more dimensions, or drilling down on individual cells.
Combine these items and submit in a 1- to 2-page APA formatted paper, with the Star schema diagram contained / pasted in it.
Conduct an interview with one or both of your parents about your family history. If family is not available to interview, please see your instructor for suggestions. If this is not possible, consider interviewing your spouse's parents or another older family member such as grandparents, uncles, aunts, etc. Note key family dynamics, relationship triangles, and relationship processes (instances of emotional fusion or reactive distancing, general level of differentiation in the family, etc.). Be sure to ask couples how they met and about their courtship. Present your findings in an informal paper of 500 word. Conclude by reflecting on your experience. Did the Bowen structure shed light on any family structures previously unknown? APA format is not required, but solid academic writing is expected. This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion. You are required to submit this assignment to Turnitin. Refer to the directions in the Student Success Cent
Write a 4-5 page paper exclusive of references which describe the unique cultural perspective toward health and well being, and the health needs of specific populations. Choose three populations from this list: Asian Pacific Islanders, Native Americans, Alaska Natives, Arabs, Hispanics (may select a specific group if desired), African Americans, persons who identify with the Jewish faith, persons who identify with the Muslim faith, and Jehovah’s witnesses.
Review the literature for articles about this population. For each population selected include the following: 1) Provide an overview of main health and health promotion and disease prevention beliefs of this population. Give examples. Consider socio-cultural impacts of health (for example reasons to migrate, social strife endured that impact well being) 2) Identify areas of concern derived from your assessment of health needs based upon significant at-risk concerns for each population. 3) Describe how these populations’ health needs may be best met in a culturally congruent way? Include at least 5 peer reviewed references
