The Importance of Marketable Objectives

  • The key marketing objectives found in your chosen HCO’s strategic plan
  • Why the objectives fit the role of the health care organization
  • What key marketing objectives a marketing director should focus on when developing a marketing plan (Explain your reasoning.)

The paper

  • Must be three to four double-spaced pages in length (not including the title page and references page) and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
  • Must include a separate title page with the following:
    • Title of paper
    • Student’s name
    • Course name and number
    • Instructor’s name
    • Date submitted
  • Must use at least three scholarly sources in addition to the course text.
  • Must document all sources in APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
  • Must include a separate references page that is formatted according to APA style

Internal and External Environmental Analyses

The creation of a successful strategic plan is derived from researched data; in particular, applicable data can be obtained from a SWOT analysis. Review section 5.4 of the course text, which presents examples of environmental analysis, both internal and external, for a hypothetical nursing facility. Examine the strategic plan of the HCO you have chosen for your Final Project and the results from the SWOT analysis that you performed in Week Two. Then, in your initial post, address the following questions:(just answer the 2 questions only) no APA format

  • What external and internal environmental analysis data could be applied to the marketing plan you are developing for your Final Project?
  • How will the environmental analysis support the marketing plan to fulfill the organization’s strategic objectives?

Left Hand – Right Hand Chart

Download the Cashier Example. This is a completed form and it illustrates exactly how a Left Hand – Right Hand Chart is constructed based on a description of the work performed by a Cashier. This is a continuation of the same example that was first used in Module Assignment One.

You are to construct a Left Hand – Right Hand Chart for the preparation of the Food Item originally specified in Module Assignment One that is prepared by the Cook at the Fast Food Restaurant called Mexican BurgerMac, Inc.

Download the Left Hand – Right Hand Chart Form.

At the top of the form enter your name, and change the Company Name to “Mexican BurgerMac, Inc.” Also enter the other information indicated at the top of the form.

The left half of the form is for the activities performed by the Left Hand.

The right half of the form is for the activities performed by the Right Hand.

Instead of using the symbols such as circles and diamonds, use the corresponding capital letters O, I, T, and D as appropriate in the Symbol Columns on both sides of the form. Be sure to include a distance for all transportations. You can determine distance by looking at the Flow Diagram you constructed in Module Assignment Two.

If you have more activities than will fit on one page then you can continue to add activities using either one of the following methods:
1. Add rows to the bottom of the table using the “Table” tab at the top of the Microsoft WORD software page.
2. Copy the blank table from page one and paste the table onto a new page in the same document.

The following brief LH-RH Chart is only a short example:

Your Name:

Left Hand – Right Hand Chart
Company Name

Date of Study:
Operation:
Operator:
Equipment:

Left Hand Description LH Symbol LH Distance RH Distance RH Symbol Right Hand Description
Reach to Item T 12″ D Idle
Grasp Item O 8″ T Reach to LH

In the above chart use Capital Letters, such as T, to represent the symbols, such as Transportation. Do Not draw circles and arrows (etc.) on the Microsoft WORD LH-RH Chart.

Distances, in inches, are only shown for Transportations (movement of the hands). A distance must be shown for every Transportation.

Module Four consists of the analysis of the proposed method that you visualized for assembling the Food Item specified in Module Assignment One. Only the proposed method needs to be documented. You do not need to analyze the proposed method and determine a better method for performing the job.

You do not need to draw a sketch of the work area because you already submitted a Flow Diagram which is a detailed sketch of the work area.

You must follow the sequence of steps as shown in the instructor’s solution to Module Assignment Two.

When you have completed your Left Hand – Right Hand Chart then submit your WORD document for grading using the assignment folder tab on the Menu Bar on the top of the D2L Home Page for this course. The assignment folder will show the due date and time for the module to be submitted on time. If the assignment folder for a module assignment is closed then the module assignment will no longer be accepted or evaluated and you will receive a grade of zero on the assignment.

Marketing Plan

To prepare for this assignment, read this week’s required article by Firshein (1996). Market Segmentation and the Identification of Target Markets

This discussion will allow you to obtain additional information for the Marketing Mix section of your Final Project. Specifically, you will generate content that will support the marketing segmentation and target market elements of the Marketing Mix section of your project.

As discussed in Chapter 9, current healthcare organizations are providing a greater degree of services to their patients based on consumer demand. Many organizations have broken or segmented their products/or services into manageable units, which requires marketing departments to implement very specific marketing mixes that are tailored to defined target markets. Consider your chosen healthcare organization. Based on the marketing objectives you identified in your Week Three Assignment, use the table below (also found in Chapter 9 of the course text) as a guide to determine at least one possible target market for your marketing plan. Discuss why you chose that market segment and how you chose the target marketing.

Table 9.5
The Two-Phase Strategy of Market Segmentation and Target Marketing

Phase One: Market Segmentation     Phase Two: Target Marketing
 1. Identify bases for segmenting the market.  1. Select the target markets.
 2. Develop profiles of resulting segments.  2. Develop positioning for each target market.
 3. Develop measures of segment.  3. Develop marketing mix attractiveness for each target market.

BL – Was Asbestosis forseeable?

Please have a read through the information provided below and answer the question with relevant references.

Damages are not something that correspond only to now, they can be traced back in time; for example, Chandler v Cape [2011]. If a business commits tort they would be called a tortfeasor. (BPE, 2017) In this case Mr Chandler make a claim for damages against Cape plc as he perceived them as a tortfeasor. Mr Chandler discovered he was suffering from asbestosis in 2007. Mr Chandler had only worked for Cape plc in-between 24th April to 9th October 1959 and from 24th January 1961 to 9th February 1962; as can be seen he did not work there for long periods of time. When damages were in the process of being claimed, Cape plc no longer existed as a trader.

Cape plc dealt with developing Asbestos for building and production firms, and although nowadays Asbestos is widely known to be an immensely harmful and dangerous substance, in-between the 1960’s – 1980’s, Asbestos was used for production items. For a list of items, Asbestos was used in please follow this link to the HSE website (2017), http://www.hse.gov.uk/asbestos/managing/products.htm.

During the court case, the judges present stated that Asbestolux was produced in the Cape plc building, and that it had no sides. Therefore, dust could escape its site without any regard for the consequences. This was not a failure in day-to-day management; this was a systemic failure of which the Defendant was fully aware. (England and Wales Court of Appeal, 2013) At the time of production, Asbestos was not seen as harmful a product as it is now. Even though the business was not aware of the damages being bought to their staff at the time of production, the court found the Asbestos damages as foreseeable.

Question – Can all Asbestosis damage be perceived as foreseeable, irrespective of the era it occurred?

Moral Development

Many researchers believe that our level of morality grows as we mature and grow through interactions with others. While Kohlberg, Gilligan and Piaget are best known for creating moral development models, there are other researchers that have developed other models for moral development. In this paper, identify two moral development models and summarize them. Then compare and contrast these two models to each other. In your summary of the paper, identify your beliefs about the moral development models you researched and reflect on your moral development and how it happened.
