Reflective account on my development as a children’s nurse over last 3 years.

Please note: It is a reflective essay, so you can write in 1st person however, think of good ways of starting the sentences avoiding using ‘I’ too many times in text.

Please read the assignment brief uploaded.

Please use critical analysis, do not make it descriptive. Use only peer reviewed 5-6 year old references, preferably journal articles and books.( apart from standards they need to be from 2010)

Do not write it as a journey.

Please can you write about ‘communication’ it’s a second standard from this document. Specifically focus on how I improved my handover from being 1 st year student knowing nothing and not knowing any tools for handover to being proficient and very confident in handing over my patients using SBAR tool now in my final year.

Can you please use Gibbs model for reflection if possible. Do not write about what model that is, only that it will be used to write this assignment.

Have a look at my university references guidelines.

Please reference the NMC Code for confidentiality and staying anonymous throughout the work. Use the NMC code 2018 where possible as it relates to the standard I want to talk about.

What is it about?

You will write up the Phase 3 clinical research project that your group outlined in your research proposal (#2). Your group will run the trial using the Island and then your group will pool the data and statistics for you to use in your individual CONSORT research project.

You MUST follow the strict formatting guidelines in the Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials (CONSORT) 2010 statement and use all major headings/numbers.

Data from The Islands

Your group is required to collect enough data from The Islands to be able to draw conclusions and do basic statistics. The focus will be on putting your interpretation of the data under the microscope. In week 9, you will have some tutorial time to use the library computers for data collection – most data collection on The Islands needs to be undertaken during the day (just like in real life). You will also have statistics help for the group available in class.

ASSIGNMENT 1 and 2: LAB REPORTS

Due in Weeks 5 and 10 and worth 240 points each.

You are a scientist in your life and in the real world. Part of the fun of learning about the world and how it works is going beyond the text and seeing it for yourself in action.

This quarter you are studying 4 major fields of science Physics, Chemistry, Earth Science and Astronomy. For two (2) of those fields, you will perform an experiment and create a lab report.

At the end of each chapter you are assigned to read this quarter, there are “ACTIVITIES (HANDS-ON APPLICATION)” where you can find your “experiment.”

Don’t let this be the only place you look! Venture to YouTube or the Science channel’s show “Outrageous Acts of Science.” If you have wanted to put a Mentos in a bottle of Diet Coke – this is the time! If you want an excuse to go camping or hiking, star gazing or doing a geological study might just be the way to go. You could even make up one of your own! Include your family, your friends, your pets! Have fun!

CAUTION: Please make sure that you have the proper safety equipment when conducting any experiment. This generally includes but is not limited to, eye protection in the form of goggles or safety glasses and clothing that is not loose fitting.

For each lab report you must:

Describe the purpose and hypothesis of the experiment. (What are you trying to prove or see?)
List/show the materials used.
Describe the procedure. (Describe the steps of the experiment and what you did so that a classmate could replicate if they wanted.)
Describe and display the results. (What happened? Hint: Some of the data may be easier to show in charts or with graphics.)
Answer the following explanatory and interpretative questions:
Why do you think you achieved the results that you did?
Did anything unexpected happen?
Do the data/results support the hypothesis? Why? (Show using specific references to the data.)
This Lab Report may be submitted in any format: Video, PowerPoint (with notes pages as needed or screen capture as wanted), Word Document, etc., or any combination that would allow you to show not only the details of the experiment and data but what you have learned from doing it. Use your own words throughout.

All assignments, regardless of format, must give citations, references and/or credit and use 2-3 academic quality sources. For example if it’s not an original experiment and you were inspired by someone else’s video, or copied it exactly, let us know which one etc. The important thing is that your sources be documented clearly in a way that your sources can be checked by the reader (and verified by the instructor). SWS style is recommended, but not required.

KPI’s Storytelling and Key Takeaways

Analysis of the results. You will have 20 takeaways (5 KPIs x 4 Regions). One of the important questions is: How does slicing the aggregate data into regions provide additional insight into CrushIt’s performance. You will be reporting on the regional analysis of each KPI. How does this regional data help us to better understand the previous topline results that you reported on?

Prepare a script for a video presentation of the takeaways. You want to share your takeaways from your analysis of each KPI by region. Do you see any trends and patterns across the regions? Across the KPIs?

Be concise and clear. Explain what has happened and why it is important. And what do you want them to know or do with this information. What is the call to action?
