module 4 quoting

Overview

When you use sources in your paper, you will need to either quote, paraphrase, or summarize the information. Summaries are used for longer passages; they provide a brief, overview of the source, using new and unique phrasing.

Prompt

Using 3 to 4 sentences, summarize the document you have selected from the library guide.

Note: Remember to cite any works you use in your assignment. You will not be graded on the citations; the purpose is just to make certain you are practicing using citations.

Specifically, you must address the following rubric criteria:

  • Summarize the source in three to four sentences.
  • Clearly reference the author’s ideas using your own words.

Guidelines for Submission

Save your work in a Word document and include a page with references. It must be written in format. Use double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, and one-inch margins.

MBA Capstone

 REQUIREMENTS

YOU MUST COMPLETE Q4 – Q6 SIMULATION! LINK WILL BE PROVIDED!

Your submission must be your original work. No more than a combined total of 30% of the submission and no more than a 10% match to any one individual source can be directly quoted or closely paraphrased from sources, even if cited correctly. The originality report that is provided when you submit your task can be used as a guide.

You must use the rubric to direct the creation of your submission because it provides detailed criteria that will be used to evaluate your work. Each requirement below may be evaluated by more than one rubric aspect. The rubric aspect titles may contain hyperlinks to relevant portions of the course.

1.  Calculate a valuation of the company and explain the key components of how you came to that valuation.

2.  Calculate the projected financial return on investment (ROI) at end of quarter six (Q6) and explain the effects that this return would have for an investor.

Note: You should include, within your valuation, any financial data that you use to justify your valuation, such as statement of cash flows, balance sheet, income statement, and stock history report, which can all be exported from within the simulation. You may copy and paste the information directly into the stockholder report template.

Business Analysis

D.  Analyze the overall performance of the business compared to the financial reports from the simulation by doing the following:

Note: Use quarters four, five, and six when analyzing performance. The analysis should include definitions of the financial statistics that occurred for these three quarters. Refer to the simulation reports, including the balanced scorecard and conscious scorecard for the required data.

Women study history discussion

Please answer the following discussion question and cite in apa format. No plagerism. Due tomorrow:

FIRST, define “intersectionality” (or “intersectional feminism”) in your own words.

THEN, discuss how intersectional identity can affect women’s experiences and relationship to society.

Refer to at least three learning resources assigned for this week in your response (these may include last week’s course module reading “”) and provide specific examples from the reading, the news, or your own life. Some questions to consider:

  • What is the historic relationship between women of color and mainstream feminism? What remedies have been proposed to repair that relationship?
  • How can differences in race, class, age, sexual orientation, nationality, ability, religion, gender identity, or other identity categories affect how a woman experiences the images and expectations of women found throughout our society and the media?
  • How can different intersectional identities complicate the decisions about which goals feminist activists and politicians ought to pursue?
  • Why are African American feminists particularly vocal about the problems of mainstream feminism for women of color? What is the history that they are trying to emphasize?
  • Age is often a “forgotten” identity category, particularly when it comes to political activism. Why do you think that is? What can be done about it?
  • Why and how does intersectional feminism help us to reconceive relationships among women of different identity groups? How can this reconception benefit our society in the long run?

8085 MOD 2 DISCUSSION2

n the early childhood field, a great body of literature is devoted to these topics, as they relate to supporting the development and learning of young children and their families. Early childhood leaders must also recognize that these topics are essential, timely, and applicable to the well-being of workplace personnel and the overall health of the social environment.

selling

Using Lawrence Glickman’s text as your framework, I’d like you to spend some time thinking about the historical “roots” of consumption in the United States and answer the following questions:

  • What did you learn about USA history and the various ways consumerism/consumption has shaped US society?
  • What specific historical events in his chapter (e.g., the Boston Tea Party?  Bus Boycotts of the Civil Rights Movement?) did you find interesting?  Do you see any connections to today?
  • Did this chapter make you think (or rethink?) the role of consumerism/consumption today?  If so, how?

Remember to support your initial post with plenty of examples from the text and to conclude your post with a bolded discussion question for your peers.

Response to prompts

Response to each prompt,  write 1500 words in total. No need to write an equal amount for each prompt, but write at least 100 words for each.  No need to use outside sources, but any that you do use should be referenced appropriately.

1) You might think utilitarianism faces a problem with lying. Doesnt this theory licence us to lie whenever we think this will lead to greater total pleasure? This might seem unacceptable. Explain the problem, and consider what the utilitarian might say by way of response.

2)Does not doing something count as an action? Why does the answer to this question matter from the point of view of ethical theory? Illustrate your answer with an example.

3) The concept of a question-begging argumentan argument which is at fault for assuming the truth of its conclusionseems like a useful concept to have when criticising arguments. But there are some puzzles about it. State and examine one such puzzle.

4)What is the fallacy of Argument from Authority? Is arguing from authority always bad? (When answering, you might consider distinguishing different types of argument from authority, or even problems that arise when trying to distinguish. You might also reflect on this issue from a personal point of view, but make sure to connect your reflections up with the question in a clear and well-organised way.)
